As a faith-based senior living community, Quaker Gardens offers a variety of rewarding employment opportunities, in a number of departments. Whether directly involved in the care of the residents, or in a department whose activities support the residents, you can enjoy being a part of our mission, providing a full range of services designed to meet the needs of senior citizens.

In most departments, there are both full-time and part-time positions available, at competitive wages. Full-time positions offer insurance benefits (see Benefits section for more information).
Here are the primary departments at Quaker Gardens and the types of jobs found in those departments:
- Activities: Providing an array of programs that enrich the lives of the residents.
- Administration: Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources and Resident Services are some of the functions within the administrative area.
- Clinic: Attending to the out-patient types of medical needs that residents may have.
- Dietary: Our food services area hires cooks, servers for the Dining Room, and tray line staff (delivering food to satellite locations within our facility.
- Health Center: Registered Nurses (RN’s); Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN’s); Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s); Medical Records
- Home Care: Faithful Friends provides in-home services, both at clients' homes and on our campus. Caregivers are employed for Home Care.
- Housekeeping: Laundry and general housekeeping services.
- Maintenance: Upkeep of the facility’s physical plant.
- Rehabilitation Services: Physical therapy provided onsite.
- Secured Living Center: A residential unit for those with memory loss; Caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s).
- Transportation Services: Provide transport for residents to and from appointments and trips for shopping, banking, etc.
Because a facility like Quaker Gardens is in operation 24/7 to serve the needs of its residents, staffing requirements include evening and weekend hours in many departments. Your flexibility in being open to varied schedules will increase your opportunities for work with us.

BENEFITS
A number of benefit programs are in place to assist Quaker Gardens employees:
Medical, dental, vision and life insurance are available to regular full-time employees (those working 32+ hours/week) after completing a 90-day Introductory Period. Eligible employees have the option to enroll in all the insurance plans or just choose the particular coverages they want (for example, take health insurance but not dental). For the life insurance, Quaker Gardens provides $5,000 of life insurance (plus $5,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance) at no cost to the employee, and the employee has the option of purchasing additional amounts of life insurance in increments of $10,000.
There is also a Retirement Plan which employees may enroll in after three years of full-time service. Two plan options are available. The first is a 401-A plan to which post-tax contributions are made, and Quaker Gardens matches the employee’s contributions, up to 5%. The other plan is a 403-B, pre-tax, tax-sheltered annuity.
Company-paid Holidays are also available for full-time employees who have completed their 90-day Introductory Period. There are 8 of these each year, including your birthday and the anniversary date of your hiring. If an employee is scheduled to work on one or more of the designated holidays, they receive double their normal pay for each holiday worked.
